How to make a meme of your friend on Photoshop

Materials:

·         A computer with any version of Adobe Photoshop.

·         One or more screwed digital photos of your friend

How to do:

1^st Step – First, you have to open your friend’s screwed photo on Photoshop. To do this, open the Photoshop, click on File:Open and choose the image you want. You can also drag the image from the place you saved it to the Photoshop’s workplace.

·      2^nd Step – Now, you’ll need a good idea of the meme you want to do. Look to the picture you selected and relate it with some situation that fits it well. It can be anything: another meme, some phrase, proverb, or some comic situation.

·      Divergent step – If your idea just includes a text meme (a meme that there are just the image and a legend), like the example below, you can stop at step 3.1, after you read it. If you want to put your friend in some situation, like the examples in the end of the tutorial, go to step 3.2 and keep reading.

·      3^rd.1 Step – To do a text meme is simple. You just have to select the text tool and write the legend you want. Set the text in a legible font and a big size. Put it on the top or/and the bottom of the image, to not oversee it.

3^rd.2 step – Now, if you want to put your friend in another image or a composition, is more complex. You’ll have to do a selection. Go to Quick Selection tool and choose the area in the image where your friend is. To add to your selection, just click and drag the mouse. To subtract area from your selection, click and drag the mouse while holding ALT.

4^th step – After you did the selection, you’ll need to improve it. To do this, click in “refine edge” in the Quick Selection’s tool menu. It will open a window in which you can change some settings of your selection. Besides that, now your brush will diffuse the area that you pass it. Pass the brush on your friend’s hair area. Not to much, just until the selection grab everything you want.

5^th step – You have your selection. Now grab it with Move Tool and drag it to your other image or composition. Socket where it fits in your meme, to do this, press CRTL + T to use Free Transform and then you can scale your friend image. In some cases, you can also improve your meme by using Clone Stamp tool, Liquefy and other functions of Free Transform, but just if you want it.

6^th step – And then… Your meme is ready! Now just share it with your friends and be delighted by the laughs! Of course, don’t forget to ask permission for your friend on the photo!
