平 How to make a Tsuru (origami) 平

Everyone likes Japonese culture, especially when we talk about origami. Today we're going to learn how to make Tsuru one of the most traditionally origami, it's also the symbol of longevity and good luck. 平平平平平

First, get a square paper and fold it in half horizontal and vertical, then do it diagonal twice, just like the pictures;

Now join all the folds to form a new square;

 

In one side of the square fold his tips into the half line;

 

 

 

 

 

Then fold the triangular edge and get a line over the square;

 

 

 

"Open" the fold and form the bird wings, use the previously line to help then do the same in the other side;

Notes: use the previously line to help you!

  

 

 

Fold his tips in the half as you can see in the picture, do it in both sides;

 

 

 

 

Now fold the two thin tips up and get this;

 

 

 

 

Almost ready, fold the larger edges and makes the Tsuru wings;

 

 

   

 

 

Finally make the head and the feet;

 

 

  

 

 

Finally we have the Tsuru:
